The Speeding Report brings every speeding event across your fleet into one view, so you can see which vehicles exceed posted speed limits, how often, and by how much.
Applies to: vehicular trackers — OBD trackers and GB130 hardwired devices · Hapn web app (Reports). No setup is required.
Where to find it
Open Reports and select Speeding Report under Asset Reports.
What it tracks
- Individual speeding events compared against the posted speed limit
- A vehicle's maximum speed during each incident
- Total time spent over the limit
- Where each event happened
- Fleet-wide totals and patterns
Severity levels
- Low — 1–5 mph over (minor overages)
- Medium — 6–10 mph over (worth watching, especially as a pattern)
- Severe — 11+ mph over (real safety and liability risk)
See the events behind the numbers
The counts are a summary — you can open any of them. Select the arrow beside an asset name and the row expands in place to list the individual speeding events, without leaving the report.
- Each event shows the time and date, the speed reached, how far over the limit it was, and the street address.
- Use the Most severe / Most recent toggle to switch what the list is ordered by. It opens on Most severe, showing the worst five.
- View all N events at the right of the expanded row opens the full list for that asset.
Every event has a Time Machine link. Select it and Hapn opens that tracker's history positioned at the moment of the event, on a short window around it, so you can play back what actually happened — the road, the speed either side of it, where the vehicle had come from. This is the answer to "show me", and it takes one click instead of hunting through history by hand.
An expanded row is part of the page address, so Copy link to this view will share the report with that asset already open.
Filtering, export, and scheduling
Use preset or custom date ranges, filter by asset, choose your columns, and Export CSV or Schedule the report to arrive in your inbox automatically.
