The Daily Mileage report shows how far your fleet drove each day: a fleet total for every day in the range, which vehicles did the most (and least) driving, and a grid with one row per vehicle and one column per day. Use it to spot quiet days, under-used vehicles, or a vehicle that suddenly drove much further than usual.
Applies to: the Hapn web app at app.gethapn.com and the Hapn mobile app.
Open it
- On the web: go to Reports and select Daily Mileage under Asset Reports.
- In the mobile app: open the menu, then Reports → Daily Mileage.
It opens on Last 7 days. You can switch to Today, Yesterday, Last 24 hours, Last 30 days or a Custom range.
What's on the report
Summary tiles
- Assets — how many assets on vehicle trackers are included.
- Total distance — everything the fleet drove over the range.
- Avg per asset / day — the total divided by (number of assets × number of days).
- Assets with no activity — vehicles that didn't move at all across the whole range.
Daily Fleet Miles
A bar for each day showing the whole fleet's distance. Hover a bar for the exact figure. Today's bar is lighter because the day is still in progress and the number will keep growing.
Asset Ranking
Each vehicle's total distance for the range, longest first. Switch to Least used to put the vehicles that drove the least at the top.
The daily grid
One row per vehicle, with its Serial/VIN, the distance it drove each day, and its Total for the range. Hover a cell to see the exact distance (to one decimal place); a day with no driving shows 0 (No activity). The bottom row totals the whole fleet for each day. Today's column is marked In progress.
Distances are in your account's distance units (miles or kilometers).
Columns and filters
- Columns lets you hide or reorder Serial/VIN, Total, and each individual day — handy for hiding weekends — and switch on an optional Date range column. Reset puts them back.
- Filters narrows the list by Asset Name, Serial/VIN or Total distance.
Export, schedule and ask Scout
- Export CSV downloads what you're looking at.
- Schedule emails the report to you or your team on a regular cadence — for example a weekly mileage summary every Monday. See How to Schedule a Report by Email.
- Explore with Scout lets you ask questions about the figures, such as which vehicle drove the most on a given day.
Which mileage report should I use?
- Daily Mileage — how far each vehicle drove on each day.
- Mileage/Kilometers by state/province — how far each vehicle drove in each state or province, for IFTA and mileage reporting.
- Vehicle Odometer — each vehicle's odometer reading. See Using the Vehicle Odometer Report.
