The Vehicle Odometer report lists every vehicle that reports an odometer, with its current reading — or, for any date range you pick, how many miles each one added. It's the quickest way to see your whole fleet's odometers in one place, export them, or have them emailed to you on a schedule.
Applies to: the Hapn web app at app.gethapn.com and the Hapn mobile app.
Open it
On the web: go to Reports and select Vehicle Odometer under Asset Reports.
On the mobile app: tap Menu → Reports → Vehicle Odometer.
Two ways to read it
- All time (the default) shows each vehicle's current odometer reading from the vehicle itself.
- Any other range — Today, Yesterday, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days or a Custom range — shows the distance each odometer added over that range. A vehicle that didn't move shows 0.
The ⓘ next to the report's title reminds you which is which. Reset takes you back to All time.
Columns
- Asset Name
- VIN, where the vehicle has one on file
- Odometer — the reading, or the distance added, in your account's distance units
- Last Reported — when the vehicle last sent an odometer reading
- Location — the vehicle's last known address
An optional Date range column can be switched on in Columns, where you can also hide or reorder the others. Select a column heading to sort by it; the list opens sorted by Odometer, highest first.
"Stale" readings
A Stale tag next to Last Reported means the vehicle hasn't sent an odometer reading for a while — hover it to see how long (for example No odometer reading in the 12 days before Oct 26). The figure shown is the last one received. Common reasons: the vehicle hasn't been driven, the tracker is unplugged or offline, or it's out of coverage. See My Tracker is Offline.
Which vehicles appear
Only vehicles whose tracker reads the odometer from the vehicle — OBD and hardwired vehicle trackers. Battery-powered asset trackers have no vehicle odometer to read, so they're not listed. If a vehicle's odometer doesn't match its dashboard, see How to Set or Reset Your Tracker's Odometer.
Filter, export and schedule
- Filters narrows the list by Tags, User groups or Asset profile status.
- Export CSV downloads what you're looking at.
- Schedule emails the report to you or your team on a regular cadence — see How to Schedule a Report by Email.
- Explore with Scout lets you ask questions about the figures.
Odometer or mileage by state?
- Vehicle Odometer — each vehicle's odometer, or how far it went, in total.
- Mileage/Kilometers by state/province — how far each vehicle went in each state or province, for fuel-tax and mileage reporting.
