Hapn doesn't have a single "delete tracker" button, because "removing" a tracker can mean a few different things. Pick the one that matches what you're trying to do:
- Stop paying for and using a tracker → cancel its service plan.
- Take a temporary break without losing the device → pause the service.
- Swap a broken device for a new one → use Replace Tracker.
- Stop someone else from seeing your trackers → remove their access in Manage Users.
- Stop sharing a tracker you sent to someone → manage or end the Live Link.
Applies to: all Hapn trackers · Hapn web app and mobile apps.
Cancel a tracker (stop service)
Cancelling ends the subscription for that tracker. The tracker stops reporting at the end of your billing cycle and moves to a Recently Cancelled list, where you can reactivate it later on the same device — you don't lose the hardware or need a new IMEI. See How to Cancel Your Service Plan.
Pause instead of cancelling
If you only need a break, you can pause a monthly subscription rather than cancelling it. See How to Temporarily Pause Your GPS Service. To turn service back on later, see How to Reactivate, Resume, or Unpause Your Tracker.
Replace a broken tracker
If the device itself failed, you don't cancel it — you replace the hardware while keeping the subscription and history. Open the tracker, go to Tracker Settings → Device Information, and use Replace Tracker.
Remove another person's access
If the tracker is showing up for someone who shouldn't see it, that's a user-access question, not a device one. Manage who can see your account in Settings → Manage Users. See Managing Users on Your Hapn Account.
What to expect
Cancelled trackers stop reporting and appear under Recently Cancelled; you can reactivate them anytime. Paused trackers keep their place and resume when you unpause. Your existing location history stays with your account. There is no separate step that permanently erases a tracker on its own — deactivating through cancel or pause is how service is stopped.
