Accessing Reports
Reports are available exclusively through the Hapn web application:
- Log in to your account at app.gethapn.com
- Click the menu icon in the top left-hand corner
- Select "Reports" from the menu options
- Choose the type of report you want to view
Understanding Report Types
On the Reports page, reports are grouped into three sections:
Tracker Reports
Monitor your trackers in real time — location history, device status, battery levels and reporting health.
- Place Analysis - Track when your assets enter and exit important locations
- Tracker Place Analysis - The same view, organised by tracker
- Tracker Positions - See all individual location points recorded by your trackers
- Tracker Status and Health - Get a quick overview of all tracker statuses
- Starter Interrupt Activity Log - Review starter interrupt activity
Asset Reports
Understand how your assets are being used — activity, location and equipment usage.
- Trip and Stop History - View historical details of trips and stops
- Asset Activity Overview - Get a high-level summary of your asset movements
- Time-Based Activity Analysis - View activity broken down by day, week, or month
- Equipment Telematics Status Report - View the current status of your equipment
- DTC Fault Code Report - Review diagnostic fault codes reported by your vehicles
- Distance Report - See distance travelled over a period
- Daily Active Hours - See how many hours each asset was active
- Idling Time - See idle hours by asset and day
- Engine Runtime - Review engine running time
- Speeding Report - Review speeding events
- Driving Behavior Report - Review harsh braking, acceleration and cornering
- Fleet Utilization - Compare utilisation against your benchmark
Alert Reports
- Alerts Feed - Review alerts generated by your trackers
You can also build your own from the Custom Reports section at the bottom of the page, and see anything you have scheduled under Scheduled Reports.
Looking for maintenance? Work orders are not reports. They live in Maintenance in the left sidebar, where the Work Orders tab has its own Export CSV option. See How to Track and Complete Maintenance Work Orders.
Customizing Your Reports
You can filter reports to find exactly the information you need:
- Open any report
- Click the filter icon in the top right corner
- Set your preferences:
- Select specific date ranges
- Choose which trackers to include
- Apply additional filters specific to each report type
- Click "Apply" to update the report view
Exporting Report Data
To save or share your report data:
- Generate the report you need
- Look for the download icon in the top right of the report
- A pop-up menu will appear; select the information you want to download
- Click 'Download CSV' at the bottom
- The file will download to your computer
- You can then save, print, or share this file as needed
Tips for New Users
- Start with the Asset Activity Overview for a high-level view of your tracker activity
- Use Tracker Status and Health to quickly check if all your devices are working properly
- Try Time-Based Activity Analysis to see patterns in asset usage over time
- Set up regular exports of important reports if you need to maintain records
