Before You Begin
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and personal information from the Hapn platform. This action:
- Cannot be undone or reversed
- Removes all your personal identifying information from our systems
- Cancels access to all Hapn services and features
- Disassociates your personal details from tracking data
Important: Before deleting your account, ensure all tracking subscriptions have been canceled. You will not be able to delete your account if you have any active tracking plans.
Deleting Your Account Through the Web App

Log in to your account
- Visit app.gethapn.com in your web browser
- Sign in with your email and password

Access account settings
- Click the settings icon (gear wheel) in the upper right corner of the screen

Navigate to account deletion
- Select the "Account" tab from the menu at the top
- Click the "Delete my account data" option

Verify subscription status
- If you have any active tracking plans, you'll need to cancel them first

Confirm account deletion
- Review the Terms and Conditions regarding account deletion
- Provide feedback about your reason for leaving (optional)
- Type "DELETE" in the confirmation field (must be in all capital letters)
- Click the "Delete my account" button to confirm

Log in to the mobile app
- Open the Hapn mobile app on your device
- Sign in with your email and password

Access account settings
- Tap the menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen
- Scroll down to the "Preferences" section
- Tap on "Account"

Navigate to account deletion
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of the Account screen
- Select "Delete my account data" from the popup menu

Verify subscription status
- If you have any active tracking plans, you'll need to cancel them first

Confirm account deletion
- Review the Terms and Conditions regarding account deletion
- Provide feedback about your reason for leaving (optional)

What Happens After Deletion
After confirming your account deletion:
- Your account will be immediately deactivated
- Your personal information will be deleted within 30 days
- You'll receive a confirmation email
- You will no longer be able to log in to Hapn services
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No, account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you wish to use Hapn services again, you'll need to create a new account.
What happens to my trackers?
Any trackers associated with your account will be disconnected and will no longer transmit data to Hapn systems. Historical tracking data will be retained for legal purposes, but it will no longer be associated with your personal information.
Will I receive a refund for my subscription?
Account deletion does not automatically trigger refunds. You must cancel your subscription before deleting your account, and refunds are subject to our standard refund policy.
What information does Hapn legally retain?
We retain tracking data and minimal transactional information required by applicable laws, typically including financial transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. All personal identifying information is removed from these records.
