This guide explains how to reset your password if you're locked out of your account or change your password when you're already logged in.
Resetting Your Password When Locked Out
If you've forgotten your password or can't log in to your account, follow these steps:

Access the login page
- Go to app.gethapn.com in your web browser
- Locate the "Forgot Password" link at the bottom of the login screen

Request a password reset
- Click the "Forgot Password" link
- Enter the email address associated with your Hapn account
- Click "Continue" to submit your request

Verify your identity
- Check your email inbox for a message from Hapn (typically arrives within 5 minutes)
- Open the email and find the verification code
- Return to the password reset page
- Enter the verification code in the appropriate field

Create a new password
- Enter your new password in the "New Password" field
- Confirm your new password by typing it again
- Ensure your password meets all requirements (see Password Requirements below)
- Click "Reset Password" to save your changes

Log in with your new password
- Return to the login page at app.gethapn.com
- Enter your email address and new password
- Click "Log In" to access your account
Changing Your Password While Logged In
If you're already logged in to your account and want to change your password:

Access account settings
- Log in to app.gethapn.com
- Click the settings icon (gear wheel) in the upper right corner

Navigate to password settings
- Select the "Account" tab from the top menu
- Find your current password field (displayed as hidden dots)
- Click the "Change" button next to your password

Update your password
- Enter your current password for verification
- Type your new password in the "New Password" field
- Confirm your new password by typing it again
- Ensure your password meets all requirements (see below)

Save your changes
- Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page
- You'll be automatically logged out of your account
- Log back in using your new password to confirm it works
Password Requirements
For security, your Hapn password must meet these requirements:
- Minimum of 8 characters in length
- Contain at least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- Contain at least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- Include at least one number (0-9)
- Not contain spaces at the beginning or end
Troubleshooting
Not receiving the verification code email?
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Ensure you entered the correct email address
- Allow up to 10 minutes for the email to arrive
- If you still don't receive it, try requesting a new code
"Invalid verification code" error?
- Make sure you're entering the most recent code sent
- Check for typing errors
- Codes expire after 30 minutes; request a new one if needed
Android users experiencing login issues?
- Ensure there are no spaces before or after your email address when logging in
- Check that your keyboard isn't automatically adding spaces
- Try typing your email manually instead of using autofill
Password not being accepted?
- Verify you're meeting all password requirements
- Check if Caps Lock is enabled
- Try typing your password in a text editor first to verify there are no hidden characters
