Jobs is where you track shipments: each job is one tracked trip from a start point to an end point, on a schedule, with a live ETA and a flag when it's running late or going off track. It's part of the Hapn supply chain product, so you'll only see Jobs if your account includes it.
Applies to: the Hapn web app at app.gethapn.com and the Hapn mobile app, on accounts with the supply chain product.
Create a job
- Open Jobs — from the left sidebar on the web, or from the menu in the mobile app — then select Create Job.
- Under Route, set the Start point and End point. Each can be one of your places (geofences) or any address.
- Give it a Job name (for example Volvo → Provo warehouse) and, optionally, a Reference such as a PO number.
- Under Schedule, set the Start and End date and time. Or switch on Auto-schedule, which sets the times from the drive time plus a buffer you choose (30 minutes by default).
- Under Tracker, pick the tracker travelling with the shipment.
- Select Create Job.
Keep an eye on jobs
The Home tab is the overview:
- Needs attention — jobs off track right now, tagged with the reason: Not reporting (the tracker has gone quiet), ETA late, or Rule violation.
- Jobs this week (compared with last week, and how many are done or in progress), Avg time on site and Completed over the last 4 weeks.
- Activity — job created, started and arrived, newest first.
- Recent jobs.
The All jobs tab lists every job with its status (such as En route or Complete), tracker, route, scheduled time, ETA (or arrival time once it's there) and health. Filter by Needs attention, Upcoming, In Progress or Completed, or use Search jobs.
The job page
Select a job to open it. You'll see:
- Its status, and whether it's on schedule — for example ETA late · Behind schedule — with the scheduled start and arrival.
- The tracker's current speed, last ping and ignition, and where it is now.
- The route on the map, from start to end point.
- Alert rules attached to the job, such as alerting if arrival will be late by more than a set number of minutes, or avoiding restricted zones — each showing whether it's been broken.
- Attachments — upload PDF, DOC, XLSX, PNG or JPG files up to 25 MB, such as a bill of lading or delivery paperwork.
- Activity — when the job was created and started, and any alerts along the way.
Actions at the top right lets you Edit the job, Share it, Mark Complete, or Delete it.
