What are Issues?
Issues are active problems with your assets and trackers that require your attention right now. Think of it as your action list—only problems that need fixing are shown. If everything is working normally, you won't see it listed.
Issues will be identified on the platform by a red exclamation mark on your tracker card and a number notification next to the issues tab on the left side of the screen.
What Issues Can You See?
The Issues feature tracks several types of persistent conditions, including:
- Low Battery - Trackers running low on power
- Disconnected from Power Source - Assets that have lost their power connection
- Leaving Mesh - Devices moving out of network range
- Overdue Work Orders - Scheduled maintenance that's past due
- Maintenance Tasks Past Due - Required upkeep that hasn't been completed
- And other critical conditions that need your attention
How to Access Issues
You can access Issues in two ways:
- From the left-hand menu - Click the Issues icon in the navigation sidebar
- Direct link - Visit app.gethapn.com/issues
You can filter issues by status using the dropdown menu at the top:
- Active - Current problems that need attention
- Snoozed - Temporarily hidden issues
- Dismissed - Issues you've acknowledged
- Resolved - Fixed problems
How Resolution Works
Issues can be resolved in two ways:
1. Automatic Resolution
When you fix the real-world problem, the issue automatically clears from your list. For example:
- Charge a low battery → Issue resolves automatically
- Reconnect a power source → Issue clears on its own
- Complete an overdue maintenance task → Issue disappears from the list
2. Manual Resolution
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to any issue and select:
- Resolve Manually - Mark the issue as handled when you've taken care of it
- Snooze - Temporarily hide the issue if you need to deal with it later
- Dismiss - Remove the issue from your active list if it doesn't require action
