Once you've completed the activation process, please follow the steps below to ensure your tracker begins reading properly:
- GL300 Tracker
- OBD Tracker
- Hardwired Tracker
- 18-Month Asset Tracker (GL501)
- Motorcycle Hardwired Tracker (GV-57)
GL300 Tracker
- Charge your tracker. Ensure your tracking device is fully charged. The device typically takes 4-6 hours to charge. The red PWR LED will flash while the battery is charging, then will stay solid once fully charged. For an overview, please refer to How do I charge my GL300?
- Reboot your tracker. To power down, hold down the small power button on the top of the unit for 10-15 seconds, then release. Repeat this step to turn the unit back on. (Please Note: the unit cannot be plugged into the charger while performing this step). Learn more about how to Reboot your GL300.
- Test your tracker. Walk or drive around outside for 5 to 10 minutes with your tracker. The lights will indicate the connection of the tracker. Click here to learn more about the lights on your tracker.
- Check your signal. Log in to your account to see if you're getting a signal.

OBD Tracker
1. Plug your tracker into your vehicle's OBD port. Click here to learn more about installing the OBD tracker.
2. Test your tracker. Take your tracker for a short 10-15 minute drive to connect to the platform. The lights will indicate the tracker's connection:
• The blue light (GPS) will go from blinking to a solid blue.
• The green light (CELL) will go from blinking rapidly to a slower blink.

3. Check your signal. Log in to your account to see if you're getting a signal.

Hardwired Tracker (GV-50)
1. Install Tracker. We recommend installation by a professional technician. The tracker will be plugged into the vehicle's power supply and will typically be placed under the dashboard of your car.
2. Test your tracker. Drive around outside for 10 to 15 minutes with your tracker. The lights will indicate the tracker's connection.
• The red light (GPS) will go from blinking to a solid red.
• The green light (CELL) will go from blinking rapidly to a slower blink.

18-Month Asset Tracker (GL501)
1. Charge your tracker: Ensure your tracking device is fully charged. When placed on the wireless pad in the alignment frame, both the Status and GPS lights will flash simultaneously every second until the device is full, and then they will both stay lit until the tracker is lifted off the pad.
2. Test your tracker: Take the tracker outside then press and hold the face button for 3 seconds. Both lights will stay lit solid for 3 seconds then begin the blink pattern once you've held the button long enough and can let go.
3. Connect the tracker: Walk or drive around outside with it for 10 minutes. The lights will not do anything after you let go of the face button, but you should receive the SOS Alert from the tracker as soon as it can connect, and positions on the map shortly after that.
💡Please note; The default configuration for the tracker is to update its location every 10 minutes when moving. When stopped, the tracker will enter into standby mode and update every 12 hours. To change the frequency, see Reporting Modes - User Guide
Motorcycle Hardwired Tracker (GV-57)
1. Install Tracker: Installing the unit is a simple two/three-wire process. The following steps will ensure you get up and running quickly.
- Connect the wiring harness to the GV57 via the plug
- Connect the red wire to power, specifically a constant power on source. This will ensure power to the tracking device, even when the asset is powered off.
- Connect the black wire to the ground (negative).
2. Test your tracker. Drive around outside for 10 to 15 minutes with your tracker. The lights will indicate the tracker's connection.
• The red light (GPS) will go from blinking to a solid red.
• The green light (CELL) will go from blinking rapidly to a slower blink.
