User Platform Settings are yours alone. Everything on this page changes how Hapn looks and behaves for you — your colleagues keep their own. Settings that apply to the whole company live on the Organization Platform Settings page instead.
Applies to: the Hapn web app at app.gethapn.com. Go to Settings → User Platform Settings, change what you need, then select Save.
General
- Time Zone — every timestamp you see, and the send time on scheduled reports, follows this.
- Home Page — the page Hapn opens on when you log in. If you spend your day on the Equipment Rental Dashboard or in Maintenance, point it there and stop navigating to it every morning.
Units & Map
- Map Style — Light, and the other styles available on your account.
- Distance Units — miles or kilometres.
- Speed Units — mph or km/h.
- Temperature Units — for trackers that report temperature.
- Address Formatting — choose how much detail an address shows: Zip Code, County, Country and Coordinates can each be switched on or off. A live Example under the toggles updates as you change them, so you can see the result before saving.
Address formatting is worth a moment if your fleet is regional. Turning off Country and Zip Code shortens every address on the map and in reports to just the part you actually read.
Display Preferences
- Enable Custom Asset Statuses — turns on the statuses your organization has defined. The statuses themselves are set up in Organization Platform Settings; see Asset Statuses and Tags: Organizing Your Fleet.
- Disable Tracker Clustering — by default the Live Map groups nearby trackers into a numbered cluster so a busy yard doesn't become an unreadable pile of pins. Switch clustering off and every tracker is drawn individually no matter how tightly packed. Useful when you need to see each machine in a yard; harder to read at country zoom.
Location Accuracy
Enable Cellular Assist is on by default and marked Recommended. It keeps assets visible when GPS is weak by estimating position from cell towers, and from WiFi on trackers that support it. See What is Cell Assist?.
Feature Tutorials
Reset feature tutorials makes the in-app tutorials show again the next time you open each feature. Two good reasons to use it: you're training someone on your own login, or you clicked through a tutorial too quickly and want it back.
What isn't here
Company-wide settings — asset statuses, tags, business hours and the Fleet Utilization defaults — are on Organization Platform Settings, and changing them affects everyone. Issue thresholds and muted issues are on Issue Settings.
