How to Change the Map Mode

Overview

You can customize the appearance of your maps by selecting from different map modes. These visual styles can help improve readability in different lighting conditions or match your personal preferences.

Available map modes:

• Light: Standard map with light background
• Dark: Dark theme map for low-light viewing (default)
• Satellite: Aerial/satellite imagery view
• Mono: Simplified light map with minimal colors

Changing Map Mode on the Web App

1. Log in to your account
   • Visit app.gethapn.com in your web browser
   • Enter your email and password
2. Access settings
   • Select Settings in the left sidebar
   • In the settings list, select User Platform Settings
3. Change map style
   • Find the "Map Style" dropdown menu
   • Select your preferred map mode from the available options
4. Save your changes
   • Click "Save" at the top of the page
   • Your new map style will apply immediately

Changing Map Mode on the Mobile App

1. On the Live screen, tap the sliders icon (Map filters) at the top right.
2. Under Map Style, choose Dark, Light, Satellite or Mono.

To change the style the map opens with, tap Menu in the bottom bar, then Settings → User Platform Settings and set Map Style under Units & Map, then tap Save.

Available Map Modes

Light Mode

• Best for: Daytime use and general tracking
• Features: Clean, bright interface with high contrast
• When to use: Most lighting conditions

Dark Mode

• Best for: Low-light environments and nighttime use
• Features: Dark background reduces eye strain
• When to use: Evening tracking, dark environments, or personal preference

Satellite Mode

• Best for: Detailed terrain analysis and precise location identification
• Features: Real aerial imagery showing actual ground conditions
• When to use: When you need to see buildings, terrain, or landscape details

Mono Mode

• Best for: Simplified viewing with minimal distractions
• Features: Reduced color palette focuses attention on tracker locations
• When to use: When you want maximum focus on tracker positions

Your map style preferences are saved to your account and will be remembered across login sessions on both web and mobile platforms.
