Using the Place Analysis Report – Hapn Help Center

The Place Analysis report answers one question: who has been to this place, and for how long? Pick a place — a yard, a job site, a customer address — and Hapn lists every tracker that entered it, when it arrived, when it left, and how long it stayed.

Applies to: the Hapn web app at app.gethapn.com. You need at least one place set up first — see Creating and Managing Places: Complete Guide.

Open the report

Select Reports in the left sidebar.
Under Tracker Reports, select Place Analysis.
On the Pick a place to analyze screen, search for the place by name or scroll the list, then select it.

The report opens on the last 7 days. To look at a different place later, use the place name at the top left — it's a dropdown.

The four figures at the top

Total Trackers Visited — how many different trackers entered the place in the date range.
Average Daily Entries — how busy the place is on a typical day.
Average Time Per Visit — how long a visit usually lasts.
Current Occupancy — how many trackers are inside the place right now. This one ignores your date range.

The visit table

Below the figures, one row per visit: Tracker, Entry Time, Exit Time and Duration.

Select Columns to turn a Date range column on, or to drag the columns into a different order. Tracker can't be switched off. Reset at the top of that panel puts everything back.

Select Filters to narrow the rows, and Export CSV to take the table into a spreadsheet.

Getting it emailed to you

Schedule at the top right turns this report into a recurring email — a Monday morning list of everything that visited the yard last week, for example. Set the date range, filters and columns the way you want them before scheduling. See How to Schedule a Report by Email.

If the report is empty

“No place visits found for the selected date range” means exactly that — no tracker entered this place in that window. Two things to check:

Widen the date range. A quiet site may go days without a visit.
Make sure the place is drawn where you think it is. A boundary a few hundred feet off the road will never register a stop. Open it from Places and check the shape on the map.
