What Are Reporting Modes?
Reporting modes control how frequently your tracker sends location updates to the Hapn platform. These settings let you balance tracking accuracy with battery life and data usage:
- More frequent updates provide more detailed tracking but consume more battery power
- Less frequent updates extend battery life but provide less detailed location information
Different tracker models offer reporting modes optimized for their specific capabilities and power requirements.

For your new reporting mode to take effect:
- Ensure your tracker is powered on and has good cellular connectivity
- Allow time for the change to process - it may take several minutes depending on your tracker's current connection quality
- Watch for notification confirmations to verify the change was successful
- If a change fails, try moving your tracker to an area with better cellular coverage and attempt the change again
