A step-by-step guide for activating your new tracker and navigating the platform. The recommended web browser for activating your device is Google Chrome.
Quick Links:
1. Activate your tracker
The first step to take with any Hapn GB130 is to make sure it is activated by clicking here. This ensures the tracker SIM is active and the device can communicate with our platform. A detailed guide to activation is located here.
2. Placing your tracker
The ideal placement for the tracker is under the passenger or driver seat, with the lights facing up towards the sky.
There are also spots where the tracker should NOT be placed. For example:
- Enclosed spaces such as inside the trunk of a vehicle
- The glove compartment
- Under the front or rear bumper. This is because the trunk tends to negatively affect the ability of the tracker to connect to the needed networks and can lead to poor performance.
3. Connect your tracker to the platform
-
Test your tracker: Drive around outside for 10 to 15 minutes with your tracker. The green LED light will begin flashing once every 3 seconds once it has a good connection. Please note: It is normal for the light to turn off after a few seconds.
-
Check your signal: Log in to your account to see if you're getting a signal.
