Creating a task is a simple process in the Hapn applications. Tasks can be used for regular maintenance, OEM checks on equipment, and ensuring registration is handled on time.
To get started with creating a task, simply head to "Tasks" on the left side menu.
Once in the Task section of the app, hit the "Create a task" button in the upper right.
Now comes the fun part: actually creating the task.
A custom name and description are required and can be anything you like. Name the task something that will make sense to those performing it.
Next, you specify whether the task is a one-time event or something that repeats, like an oil change. You can then set the trigger for the task, such as a specific time, amount of active hours, or mileage. Multiple triggers can be selected. If more than one trigger is selected, the task will be triggered by the one that occurs first.
If a task is set as a repeating event, it will trigger every time you reach the assigned value. For example, an oil change might trigger every 5000 miles. The Hapn app will then create a new task each time one in the sequence is completed, automatically.
Once the trigger cadence is set, select the trackers that the task will apply to and add any additional notes for the task.
Once done, click the "Create" button and then click through the confirmation pop-up.
The completed task will then appear in both the task schedule and the upcoming tasks page.
We will cover editing tasks and completing tasks in more articles in the Hapn help center.
