The alerts report is your window into seeing any of the alerts that have been triggered by your trackers. This is the log from the record of custom alerts. This report is perfect for employee monitoring and training, asset management and protection, and most other jobs you can think of.
Across the top we have which tracker triggered the alert, the type of alert, details (this varies on the alert. It can be the boundary name for a boundary alert or the speed for a speeding alert), our date, time, and location. These are all data points that come straight from the tracker. The final column, "is buffer", gives you an indication if this alert was triggered and reported live, or was recorded later due to the tracker not having cellular service at the time of the alert.
The best practice for using this report is to get specific with the filtering. Creating a report on a single alert you are trying to learn more about is more productive, in my experience, than trying to look through all alerts at once. For instance, if you are training your staff to practice better driving habits, then a weekly team huddle while looking at the speeding alert report can be a very effective training tool.
As an alternative, looking at a single tracker with all its associated reports can also provide a high amount of value. This is a great way to help focus on a single employee, vehicle, or customer. This level of focus gives you an overall picture of the tracked asset's complete behavior!
